FULL TIME EMPLOYEES

All full time employees are eligible for this total compensation package. You should familiarize yourself with the coverage available to you and your family. Further explanations of coverage are available from your ProTech manager or by contacting your benefit representative.

SUMMARY OF BENEFITS

The enclosed information below gives a brief description of ProTech's benefits and policies provided for full time employees. After your initial enrollment, benefits plans may only be changed during the company "open-enrollment" period. This is in November of every year. Some exceptions to this rule are loss of coverage, or change of family status.

MEDICAL COVERAGE

ProTech full time employees are eligible for medical coverage through United Healthcare. The company pays 50% of the cost. Premiums are automatically deducted. Employee cost is shown in copied scales. This amount is a monthly deduction that is split up into two and deducted from your paycheck.

SICKNESS

ProTech employees are eligible for sickness pay after one year of service. Employee's hourly rate will be paid up to five days based on a twelve month rolling period. A doctor's excuse maybe required upon request.

VACATION

ProTech full time employees are eligible for two weeks vacation after one year of employment and three weeks of vacation after five years of employment. The employee will also gain another day after 12 years, one more after fourteen, one more after sixteen, one more after eighteen and one more after twenty years of employment.

EXAMPLE:

1 year of employment = 2 weeks of vacation
5 years of employment = 3 weeks of vacation
12 years of employment = 3 weeks & a day of vacation
14 years of employment = 3 weeks & 2 days of vacation
16 years of employment = 3 weeks & 3 days of vacation
18 years of employment = 3 weeks & 4 days of vacation
20 years of employment = 4 weeks of vacation

HOLIDAYS

There are seven paid holidays each year. New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and a floating holiday (eligible after one year of service).

TRAINING

ProTech will pay for all approved training. They will also pay for wages while attending classes in approved cases.

DEATH IN FAMILY

A full time employee may be granted a limited time off with base pay when it is necessary due to a death in the immediate family. An immediate family member is defined as a mother, father, sister, or brother.

FAMILY LEAVE

Under the family leave act, employees may elect to take up to six months of unpaid absence to care for a family member (baby, child, and parent).

SERVICE AWARDS

Service awards are given to employees for attainment of periodic anniversaries.

TECHNICIAN PAY COMPENSATION

Protech's technician pay compensation is based on an hourly wage. The employee's experience, certifications, potential, and professionalism determine this. ProTech's employees are given specific goals to reach. These goals are developed mutually by the employer and employee. A plan is developed to reach these goals. Progress is monitored daily. Follow-up meetings are done to insure proper progress. The employee's performance level will greatly influence year-end appraisals. Wage increases will be given at yearly appraisals. Appraisals will be given before the end of February. All wage increases go in to effect the first pay period of March.

ProTech Autocare has chosen to compensate with a straight hourly rate for several reasons. It is the fairest way to pay an employee for each hour worked. A technician is paid regardless if he is helping a fellow worker, cleaning a floor, or answering a phone. This allows every employee to be focused on the company's goals. The benefits for the employee are to get an hour's pay for an hour worked. If the shop is slow, other items can be worked on without hurting technicians pay. Such as equipment or building maintenance. This philosophy also encourages a better team environment. A technician can help a fellow worker without jeopardizing his weekly pay. He can also take the time to go the extra mile to insure better quality.

In summary, this pay compensation package will benefit the employee, the company, and the customer. The pay is fair to the employee based on his business portfolio and hours worked. The employee can better manage a budget based on more consistent pay. It allows the employee to focus on quality and customer satisfaction and not flat-rate hours turned. This is a huge benefit to the customer. The shop and equipment generally stay in better condition since employees have time to maintain them. This plan also encourages teamwork. This results in a better shop environment and attitude for the entire crew. The mutual goals and plan developed by the employee and company allow the company to meet their goals while developing employee's individual needs. Goals and plans can be tailored to each employee. This will accelerate results.
